Editorial Policy
Indore Express is a Hindi digital news publication focused on the city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This policy explains how we report, write and publish.
Accuracy and sources
- We base our reporting on primary sources wherever possible: official press releases, government and court websites, public records, official social media accounts of government departments, and direct statements.
- Facts, figures, dates and names are checked before publishing. Where information comes from another publication, we credit it.
- We clearly separate news (what happened) from explanation and analysis (what it means for readers).
Independence
Our editorial decisions are made independently. Advertisers, sponsors or any political group have no say in what we cover or how. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly labelled as “Sponsored” or “Advertisement”.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to assist with research, translation or first drafts. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a human editor before it is published, and the editor is responsible for its content. We do not publish unreviewed AI-generated articles.
Headlines and images
Headlines must reflect what the article actually says. We do not use misleading or sensational headlines. Images are either our own, used with permission, from official sources, or properly licensed. Images that only illustrate a topic are not presented as photos of the actual event.
Fairness
When an article includes allegations against a person or organisation, we make a reasonable effort to include their response. We avoid publishing personal details of victims, minors and private individuals unless there is a clear public interest.
Updates and corrections
When a story develops, we update it and show the “updated” date. Mistakes are corrected as described in our Corrections Policy.
